Will the Unscented Oil make my scalp greasier faster?
During the pre-poo phase, the oil is intended to effectively loosen sebum and buildup on your scalp. This is essentially preparation for cleansing. This allows the shampoo to then properly remove everything, leaving your scalp nourished. It's a win-win situation. However, during styling, you should be careful with the amount of oil to prevent your hair from becoming too greasy. Therefore, start with a few drops. Less is more, and if you have dry hair and feel you need more, you can always add it.

Tip: Don't panic if you apply the oil for styling/refreshing and you think your hair has become greasy. Due to its sealing function, the oil doesn't always absorb immediately. Wait a few minutes and then re-evaluate. Usually, the oil will have been fully absorbed by then.

Is the Unscented Oil for every hair type?
Yes, our oil is suitable for all hair types. It can be a valuable addition to any hair care routine. It's just a matter of experimenting to see how much oil works best for you. For example, if you use it as a pre-treatment (pre-poo), you'll need more than when you apply it to styled hair.

What do I do with oil if I have an oily scalp?
We understand that the idea of a pre-poo treatment might be daunting if you have an oily scalp. But instead of making your scalp greasier, it stabilizes your sebaceous glands and helps the oil to remove accumulated product residue (build-up) more easily with the Mellon Shampoo. During styling or refreshing, we recommend not using oil, or only a very small amount if your hair gets greasy quickly.

How do I apply the oil to my scalp?
With our handy dispenser bottle, the oil comes out very evenly, making it easy to reach all areas of your scalp. We recommend always putting the oil in the small diffuser bottle to reduce spillage. We focus on large packaging because we want to encourage you to use the oil generously, so you will truly experience the benefits!

Can I use this product if I am pregnant?
This product can be safely used during pregnancy. Use it unscented or our Smooth Companion.

Why is this oil unscented?
So you can also use the oil if you have a very sensitive scalp. Reactive skin cannot always tolerate essential oils, so it's useful to have this if you don't want to take any risks. We also don't want to release 5 different oils, and instead, we have developed 3 synergies to enrich this unscented oil. This way, you can create a customized treatment.

Is the Unscented Oil suitable for children?
Yes, absolutely! But then use the oil unscented and therefore not enriched with a synergy.
