Our products come in recyclable, amber PET bottles with a convenient black pump. While we know there is always room for improvement, we are actively working towards our sustainability goals.

As a growing brand, we strive to switch to more sustainable packaging options. As we are still a small player at the moment, we are not yet able to purchase packaging in large quantities. This means that we are working with these PET bottles for the time being.

Does this conditioner contain protein?

Our conditioner does not contain proteins. However, we are planning to expand our range with products enriched with proteins. Our shampoo does contain proteins. The choice to keep our conditioner protein-free is a deliberate one, because an excess of proteins can be even more damaging and stressful than a deficiency. We recommend not to make your entire routine protein-rich, as the balance between moisture and proteins is extremely important. Do you still need a conditioner with proteins? Coming soon… ;-)

Why is conditioner important?

Naturally textured hair gets tangled easily. To keep it tangle-free longer after washing, a conditioner that closes the hair cuticles well is crucial.

Is this conditioner suitable for all hair types (porous and non-porous)?

Our conditioner is suitable for all hair types (also colored hair). However, porous hair types need more than non-porous hair types. This is useful if several family members want to use the conditioner. If you feel that your hair needs more, we recommend that you put a few drops of our oil on your lengths after rinsing out your conditioner.

How does a conditioner work?
Conditioner acts as a cuticle sealer. After using shampoo (higher pH than hair because of the scalp) the cuticles are always slightly open. Open cuticles lead to knots, frizz and no shine. The conditioner acidifies the hair and closes the cuticles again, resulting in shine and hair without knots.

Why are there no silicones in this conditioner?

Silicones provide shine and smoothness, but they can also weigh down the hair. This is disadvantageous if you want to emphasize your natural hair texture. With wavy textures, it is impossible to bring out your texture because the silicones clog it. Moreover, they are also harmful to the environment.

As a replacement we use Distearoylethyl Dimonium Chloride. This is a quaternary substance. These substances are necessary because they can adhere to the hair thanks to their positive charge. The disadvantage of quaternary substances is that they are difficult to biodegrade. Distearoylethyl Dimonium Chloride is the only quaternary substance allowed in organic products (determined by strictEco-guarantee label) because of its limited impact on the environment. That is why we chose this fabric.

Is the conditioner according to the Curly Girl Method?
Yes, our conditioner meets the requirements of the Curly Girl Method. It is safe for all hair textures.

Can I use the conditioner if I have colored my hair?
Yes, our conditioner can also be used on colored hair.

Do you recommend the conditioner for gray hair?
Our conditioner is also ideal for gray hair.
