Which conditioner should I choose: Lightweight or Intense?
That depends on your hair type, texture, and goal:

This conditioner nourishes without weighing down, keeps your hair airy, and allows styling products to work better. It is also ideal for oilier scalps who are afraid that conditioner will weigh down their hair.
- Choose the Intense Conditioner if you have dry, thick, heavy, or very curly/wavy hair that needs a lot of nourishment. This conditioner provides extra hydration and slip, making the hair easier to detangle and feel better after washing.

Does this conditioner contain proteins?
No, our Lightweight Conditioner does not contain proteins. Our Intense Conditioner does contain proteins. The decision to keep the Lightweight Conditioner protein-free is deliberate: too much protein can actually make the hair heavier and more brittle. For a healthy balance, we recommend not making your entire routine protein-rich. If you still want extra protein, choose the Intense Conditioner.
Why is conditioner important?
Hair with a natural texture easily gets tangled. A good conditioner closes the hair cuticles, keeping the hair tangle-free, soft, and shiny longer after washing.
How does conditioner work?
Shampoo usually has a higher pH than hair, causing the hair cuticles to open slightly. Open cuticles cause tangles, frizz, and less shine. A conditioner lowers the pH and closes the cuticles again, resulting in shiny, soft hair that is easier to comb.
Why does this conditioner not contain silicones?
Silicones temporarily provide shine and smoothness, but can weigh down the hair and hide your natural texture, especially with wavy or curly hair. Moreover, silicones are bad for the environment.
Instead, we use Distearoylethyl Dimonium Chloride, a mild quaternary ingredient that is positively charged and adheres to the hair to provide a soft and detangling effect. This substance is approved for organic products according to the Ecogarantie label, because it has a limited impact on the environment.
